About Our Church
St. John the Wonderworker Orthodox Church, under the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR), is located between Madison and Wisconsin Dells.
The Divine Services are served primarily in English, with some Slavonic and Romanian and begin at 9:00am on Sundays. Agape Meal and coffee hour follow after Divine Liturgy. All families and guests are encouraged to enjoy a light meal and, more importantly, share in fellowship. Saturday Great Vespers begins at 6:00pm. Here one can experience beautiful Slavic melodies, prayers of petition, psalmody, and seasonal celebrations.
We offer Sunday School for children of all ages, and parents are always welcome to attend and participate. Classes are held during the school year, beginning at 8:50 AM on the Sunday following the Church’s New Year (Sep.14) and concluding on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.
On many Sundays, Christianity 101 class with Fr. Job begins at 12:30 pm and everyone is welcome.
Living a life of Orthodoxy inside and outside the home as a family is one of the most important factors to a child's development in the church.
